New Life Dance Ministry offers a wide variety of classes so that all students have the opportunity to enjoy a well-rounded performing arts education. If you have questions about our classes, or need help choosing the right class for you or your child, please contact us.
Note: Class placement is based on the student’s age, level of proficiency, and previous dance experience. It may be necessary to observe the student in class to accurately access the appropriate class.
Students will learn basic rolls, cartwheels, bridges, roundoffs, backbends, and walkovers. The class is designed for each student to work at his or her own pace with more complex skills being introduced as he or she progresses. To safely prepare students to work on skills, classes will begin with stretching and conditioning. Students achieve greater strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and balance.
Open to Ages:
2 to 12
Class Attire:
Unitard or leotard (except boys), t-shirt, and bike shorts.
Students will learn classical ballet technique and terminology, with an emphasis on proper body alignment and placement, balance, body and arm positions and musicality. Each level is a continuation of the previous level and increases in difficulty. Ballet is the foundation for many types of dance styles and is highly recommended.

Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard and ballet skirt or ballet dress, t-shirt, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Bike shorts can be worn under the dance skirt.
Boys -T-shirt, black pants or shorts, and black slippers.
All - No jewelry, hair in a bun (short hair should be pulled away from face).
This class introduces young dancers to the basics of dance. We start by learning how to tell your right foot from your left and stepping and clapping to a beat. From there your child gets a flavor of ballet, tap, and jazz styles of dance by learning simple movements and combinations to music. They also get a chance to experience dancing together as a group and in front of an audience. It’s the perfect place for your aspiring ballerina or dancer to start learning lifelong dance technique in a supportive and fun environment.

5 to 7
Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard and ballet skirt or ballet dress, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Boys - T-shirt, black pants or shorts, and black slippers.
This class encourages students to be expressive while using movement from various forms of dance, including modern, ballet, jazz, and lyrical. Emphasis is placed on self-expression, music interpretation, versatility, and spatial and body awareness. Students explore choreography through class projects and improvisational exercises.

Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard, t-shirt, bike shorts, capris, or leggings, pink tights, and jazz shoes or ballet slippers.
Boys - T-shirt, black pants or shorts, and black slippers.
This fun class explores creative movement by using imagery, props, music, and games. Students will also learn basic ballet steps and tumbling moves. Focus is on developing socialization skills, balance, rhythm, and coordination.

4 to 5
Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard and ballet skirt or ballet dress, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Boys - T-shirt, black pants or shorts, and black slippers.
This class is designed to provide an introduction to the skill of Israeli Folk Dance, along with the use of basic tambourine technique. Students will learn basic steps that recur in many dances, circle, line, and partner dances, and tambourine patterns, which coupled with the Israeli Folk Dances, will be utilized in choreography to be taught during class sessions. The class is open to all levels; prior dance experience is not required. Come join the fun and get a good cardio workout!

Class Attire:
Loose comfortable clothing, and ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or dance sneakers.
Jazz/Hip-Hop combines techniques of ballet, ethnic, and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance, including urban dance styles and self-expression. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style. Each level is a continuation of the previous level and increases in difficulty.

6 to Adult
Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard, t-shirt, black dance pants or capris, or leggings, and black jazz shoes. Boys - T-shirt, black dance pants and black jazz shoes.
This class focuses on the technical components of leaping, jumping, and turning, as well as flexibility and strengthening exercises. It is taught in combination with Jazz 4-5. Leaps & Turns is open to students enrolled intermediate/advanced classes or by permission of instructor.

Class Attire:

This class focuses on the foundations of many styles of modern dance technique. Students will explore floorwork, improvisation, and choreography.
Open to Ages:
7 to Adult
Class Attire:
Girls - Leotard, t-shirt, black dance pants or capris, or leggings, and black jazz shoes. Boys - T-shirt, black dance pants and black jazz shoes.
Students will learn tap steps, terminology, and combinations. Tap classes teach an awareness of rhythm, timing, patterns and improves musicality and coordination.

This fast-paced class incorporates a wide variety of dance styles and conditioning methods. It's a well-rounded workout that encompasses various forms of dance and exercise including: strength training, cardio, Pilates, floor stretches and floor work. Drop-in rates are available. This is the perfect class for very young dancers who will learn from the beginning how much fun it is to move to the music. Here children will have a positive and fun environment to learn how to start moving in time to the beat. It is a place for young dancers to safely discover and grow their gross motor skills and coordination and start to socialize and play nice with new friends. Parents, grandparents, and other loved ones will all share in the pride and joy of watching their dancer start to grow and overcome their shyness as they get their first chance to wear a dance costume and stand on stage by the year’s end.
